OMG. Gorgeous tagged'd kitteh! The good thing tho was I got to read hhhhhhis! So here is my little list of fun facts. Not as 'citing as

but it was fun! At the end, before the features, are the people I am tagging to give up 10 facts about themselves too. Please drop me a note if you do them so I can come read your's too and also, I don't want anyone to feel obligated to do them. It's supposed to be fun, so if it dun't feel fun to you, then please don't do them. ALSO, if I didn't tag you (dunt worry, I will on something!

) but you WANT to do them, I would LOVE to read yours too, so do 'em and comment or note so I can!! I have another one I grabbed cuz it's sort of cryptic and different. The rest of you, some among you will be tagged on that one!
My favorite thing about doing journal entries is to feature some of the awesome art I've collected (which is TONS .. dA has so much talent it's unbelievable .. but then you all know that already too, eh?!

). One of these days I will have my Favorites Gallery organized where I can be better organized with this than I am now and can include a wider variety and also do sections of literature, stock, manips, css, games, emotes, etc. along with features and stamps. 'til then, I usually wind up grabbing things from the most recent things fav'd and go more with themes. The theme I've chosen this time is beautiful women and I hope you'll enjoy them. The stamps I've featured are as well some of the most recent stamps added.

I found a place with a huge dance floor in a Sons Of Norway building with large cathedral ceilings soaring up into the air. I could not hear the beat in the music, and my autism made me physically very uncoordinated. Dancing seemed impossible, but I saw the other Gay & Lesbian and mixed couples dancing around the dance hall, laughing and having a grand time, and I wanted that.
I started with the simple two-step dance (slow-slow-quick-quick), taking the nightly free dance lessons to learn how to follow. But my legs would not obey me right. I practiced for hours at home every day and went out to the dance hall 6 nights a week. It took all I had to leave the house and go. People started to help me, very patent people. It was horribly embarrassing being so slow to learn. After a few months, I was able to actually get around the floor, but must have felt like a giant sack of potatoes to my dance partner.
Then I set a quota to ask one stranger per night for a dance. It too a while to build the courage. I started getting better much faster. Then one night I suddenly realized that this must be what fun feels like. I was also forcing myself to introduce myself to one stranger a day, and talk to him or her as best i could. This resulted in me getting many new friends.
I got pretty good at following, so I decided I wanted to learn leading too, because I am a versatile guy, Leading, following, top or bottom. I like flexibility and more was to give pleasure and receive pleasure. I then went on to learn the Waltz, Tango, West Coast Swing, Swing, Foxtrot , Rhumba, Bolero, Mambo, Samba, and Cha-cha. Then I started giving lessons and doing a class.
All of this also translated to me doing better on the Gay club dance floor, although going there was a rare thing.
Dancing basically saved my life and gave me a social life full of happiness and joy. Dancing is something where you can be very social, extremely athletic, burn tons of calories, build social and physical coordination skills and strength. I would dance for almost 4 hours straight. I could spin a partner up to 120 revolutions per minute, then straight into a death-drop.
But even more amazing was your ability to learn so many of the great ballroom dances and then go on to TEACH ... I am totally amazed ... huge huge strength ... I admire that so much.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
If you went dancing 6 nights a week, and danced pretty-much every single song for 4 hours, plus 1 hour lesson time, for about 10 years, you would be a lot better than I was. I knew that I had limitations, but I truly did not care. I once started having less fun, then realized I was analyzing my dancing and putting my self down, being over-criticle. After that, on the way to dancing, I repeated a mantra, "I am going dancing to have FUN, period." I wanted my partners to feel good in the dance and that was it.
It was so hard for me to learn dancing, down to each little thing, it made me a good teacher, I knew what to emphasize and recognized what they were doing wrong. Some Natural dancers, the ones, maybe like you, you only see it once and then doing even better, often are not the best teachers, because they have no idea how they are doing it, their body naturally flow as it should.
I went on to see 2 students go into competition and many others dance much, much better than I did, which was fine with me. I figured it was for me to give a foundation and build confidence and joy of dance. Then let them fly as high as they wish.
hmm my 2 and 6 might be the same
